I have been involved in developing and prototyping of non-invasive glucose monitoring systems as well as quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and optimize healthcare costs. I also enjoy photography and shoot landscapes and events professionally.

Nov ’11 Invention to Venture, Mar ’12 Sustainability, Apr ‘13 Connections. Founder of half day event in hopes of forming a forum to discuss: marketable innovation from NJIT students and the Newark community, sustainability in urban communities, and digital connections help to build productive networks in urban communities. Attracted attention from 78 countries and nearly 20,000 people in event’s one year history. Acted as TED license holder and primary organizer, PR, led marketing and advertising campaign responsible for global publicity, managed budget and finances, and also acted as graphic designer and volunteer coordinator. Designed website for event as well as create social media campaign to improve visibility and publicity of event in Newark and surrounding community. Developed an iOS app for event and released to the Apple App Store

Improving Access to Long-Acting Reversible Contraception

Project lead, Physician - Feb 2021 - June 2021

Developed initiative to review and assess current contraceptive prescription patterns and identify barriers to entry to optimize and improve rates and timeliness of contraception to post partum patients and reduce rates of unwanted pregnancies in the Freehold community. Worked with local and state advocates to develop educational materials and optimize use of available funding and resources to improve care and patient satisfaction as it relates to contraceptive management and family planning.

Sepsis in Subacute Facilities

Worked closely with director of rehabilitation facilities associated with CentraState Medical Center in order to advance and educate on current sepsis guidelines in order to promote improved and effective recognition of sepsis in the geriatric community. Presented to both nursing and clinical ancillary staff at the Manor and presented findings to improvement in patient care at both state and national conferences including the Society of Teachers in Family medicine Conference on Practice & Quality Improvement in Phoenix, Arizona 2019.
